April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month
The following is a list of events taking place in Northeast Ohio during Sexual Assault Awareness Month which Cleveland Rape Crisis Center is either hosting, partnering to present, or participating in, to raise awareness about rape and sexual abuse in our community.

April 6, 2021 – SAAM Day of Action
- Terminal Tower Lights: The Terminal Tower will light up teal, the official color of SAAM, in support of survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
- Wear Teal: On SAAM Day of Action, friends, volunteers, and community partners are encouraged to wear the color teal in support of survivors.
April 7, 2021
- Parent Happy Hour: BLAB-IT (Responding to Disclosures): 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
April 13, 2021
- Human Trafficking Identification and Awareness Training: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
- Stewards of Children: 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
April 14, 2021
- Human Trafficking 101: 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Presented by Keyna Smith, Director of Anti-Human Trafficking and Advocacy, in partnership with the Collaborative to End Human Trafficking
- Wear Blue Day: Friends, volunteers, and community partners are encouraged to wear the color blue to promote Child Abuse Prevention Month.

- Ambassador Training: 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.

- Parent Happy Hour: Consent, Coercion & Boundaries: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

- Ambassador Training: Using your Influence for Social Change: 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

- Athlete A Panel Discussion: 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.
April 28, 2021
- Denim Day: Friends, volunteers, and community partners are encouraged to wear denim to raise awareness and speak out against misconceptions about sexual violence.
- The Intersection Between Human Trafficking, Addiction, & Mental Health: 9:00 – 10:30 a.m.
