If you or a loved one is a survivor of rape or sexual abuse, Cleveland Rape Crisis Center invites you to participate in a four-part series of educational workshops about the effects of sexual trauma and methods for coping. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about the Center’s counseling services.
September 2018 Workshop Dates:
- Wednesday, September 5, 2018, 10 a.m. – Healthy Boundaries and Support Systems
- Wednesday, September 12, 2018, 6 p.m. – Emotional Regulation
- Wednesday, September 19, 2018, 10 a.m. – Coping Skills and Self Care
- Wednesday, September 26, 2018, 6 p.m. – What is Trauma?
Participants are welcome to attend any combination of the four workshops.
Cost: Free. No registration required.

A six-hour Ethics and Supervision CEU workshop for social workers and counselors.
This workshop will emphasize practical and ethical solutions for managing ethical dilemmas when working with clients who have experienced trauma.
Cost: Preregistration by September 4, 2018: $150 for all six hours or $75 for either the Ethics or Supervision sessions. Registration after September 4, 2018: $180 for all six hours or $90 for either the Ethics or Supervision sessions.

Credits: Six hours approved by the Ohio Counselor, Social Worker and Marriage and Family Therapist Board

Sustaining a Movement and Not a Moment: #MeToo and Beyond. This year’s Cuyahoga County SART Conference includes nationally recognized experts presenting topics relevant for multiple disciplines, including law enforcement, medical professionals, SANE, advocates, social workers and prosecutors. The 2018 conference is presented by Cleveland Rape Crisis Center, Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence, and University Hospitals.
