Sexual Assault Awareness Month 2026 Events March 20, 2026
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). The following is a list of events taking place in Northeast Ohio during SAAM. Join Cleveland Rape Crisis Center and our community partners as we raise awareness and support for survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
Month-Long Events
- The Bascule Lift Bridge (Ashtabula) will light Teal in honor of SAAM.
- Change for Change at the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland.
- The Tea Lab Collaboration: $3 from every purchase of the “I Believe You” blend donated to CRCC
Week 1

- Friday, April 3: Ashtabula Area Child Advocacy Center Open House
Week 2
- Monday, April 6: Virtual Ambassador Workshop Part 1, 3 – 4:30 PM
- Tuesday, April 7: Wear Teal for SAAM Day of Action!
- Tuesday, April 7: Trauma Informed Yoga Class for Survivors 5:30-6:45 PM
- Wednesday, April 8: Wear Blue Day for Child Abuse Prevention
- Wednesday, April 8: Lakeland Community College’s Health & Wellness Fair 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM
- Thursday, April 9: The Terminal Tower (Downtown Cleveland) will light Teal in honor of SAAM.
- Friday, April 10: Living Legacy: Minority Health Fair, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM | Murtis Taylor Human Services System Family and Wellness Center, 13411 Union Ave Cleveland OH.
- Saturday, April 11: Great Lakes Regional Family Fun Day, 3:00 – 6:00 PM | Children’s Museum of Cleveland, 3813 Euclid Avenue Cleveland OH. Registration required.

- Monday, April 13: Virtual Ambassador Workshop Part 2, 3 – 4:30 PM
- Tuesday, April 14: Trauma Informed Yoga Class for Survivors 5:30-6:45 PM
- Tuesday, April 14: Bystander Training for Students, 11 AM – 12 PM
- Thursday, April 16: Jeni’s Ice Cream Fundraiser: From 4:00-7:00 PM, 25% of proceeds will be donated to CRCC | 67 N Main St, Chagrin Falls, OH
- Saturday, April 18: Everybody Cycle Benefit Ride – 100% of proceeds will be donated to CRCC

- Sunday, April 19: Bellefaire SAY (Social Advocates for Youth) Program Volunteer Fair 1–4 PM

- Thursday, April 30: Sexual Assault Awareness Month Training, 9 AM-12:00 PM, Free professional training for law enforcement, advocates, medical professionals, and anyone supporting survivors in our community.
- Thursday, April 30: Rule 11 & The Sanctions Benefit Concert for CRCC, 7:00-9:00 PM
