Cuyahoga County SART Conference Call for Proposals

Cuyahoga County SART Conference Presenter Application

You are invited to submit a proposal to present a plenary or workshop session at the 2024 Cuyahoga County Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) Conference. The conference will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 at Case Western Reserve University Linsalata Alumni Center.

This year’s theme is Challenges and Resilience: Community Response to Sexual Assault in Historically Excluded Groups.

Topics of interest include:

Dispelling myths and misconceptions of working with a historically excluded group that has experienced sexual trauma.
Guidance on sensitivities, awareness and knowledge when examining and supporting LGBT youth and young adults that are victims of sexual assault or human trafficking.
Post-assault sexual and emotional health care for trauma survivors.
New laws and/or legal perspectives to consider in working with a specific, identified group.
After-hours resources in the community that assist unhoused people and sexual assault/human trafficking survivors.
Trauma-Sensitive Yoga.

The target audiences are medical professionals, law enforcement, prosecution, K-12 schools, and other survivor-serving organizations.
