Boys Taking Action – The Next Generation
Saturday, August 6, 2016 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Boys Taking Action is a one-day celebration packed with fun activities for young men ages 8-18 and their parent or supportive adult. The day’s events will focus on building leaders through male-to-male inspirational conversations, guided exercises that promote discipline and safety. Interactive exercises will include drumming, social media, self-defense, martial arts, mask and shield making and more. This event provides a forum for young men to discuss their evolving roles as males promoting healthy attitudes and behaviors in their families and communities. Participants are encouraged to wear relaxed clothes to allow for interactive exercises.

The program is designed to help them learn and share new skills that help affirm attitudes and responsible behaviors promoting healthy relationships, boundaries and leadership.

Parents and supportive adults are encouraged to attend separate group sessions discussing the impact of social media on males while exploring ways to respond to the challenges of this generation.
