Register Now for Girls in Motion and Las Chicas Pueden – Girls Can on April 22

Girls in Motion

Saturday, April 22, 2017, 9am-4pm; registration and breakfast begin at 8:30am

Location: Forest Hill Presbyterian Church, 3031 Monticello Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44118

Cost: FREE. Includes breakfast and lunch.

Girls Can: A New Wave of Hope is a full day of activities for girls 9-18 and their parent or supportive adult, focused on inspiration, support and empowerment. Self-esteem-building activities will include conversations about healthy relationships, dance, drumming, self-defense, yoga, social media and more. The activities are girl-centered and fun! Girls Can provides a forum for girls to express their views, ask questions and learn skills, attitudes and behaviors that promote safety and empowerment. Parents and supportive adults are encouraged to attend a separate group session in the morning and an afternoon session with all participants.

Las Chicas Pueden: Una Nueva Esperanza es un día lleno de actividades para las chicas de 9-18 años. Las sesiones seràn orientadas para aumentar su auto-estima. También habrà conversaciones acerca de relaciones saludables, baile, música, defensa personal, yoga, redes sociales y mucho màs. Las chicas seràn las protagonistas y se divertiràn mucho. Este evento provee un foro para las chicas expresar sus ideas, hacer preguntas, aprender nuevas destrezas y habilidades. Las chicas aprenderàn nuevas formas y actitudes para promover su seguridad y empoderamiento. Ambos padres ó persona adulta supervisando las chicas tambièn pueden venir y participar. En la mañana, Habrá una sesión para adultos. En la tarde, la sesión serà con todos los participantes.
