What is your role at CRCC, and what do you do?

I am a Trauma Therapist, and provide therapy primarily to our late adolescent and adult clients.

When did you start at CRCC?

I started in January 2016 as an Intake Specialist.

Which CRCC location(s) do you normally work from?

I work out of the downtown office. During the school year, I also work out of CSU once a week and see students on campus.

What is your favorite thing to do in your role?

It feels really special that I get to witness our clients’ resilience and strength with such intimacy. Seeing clients start to make sense of their stories, release their shame, and reclaim their voices is powerful and encouraging.

What are you reading/listening to currently?

I’m currently reading Educated by Tara Westover and All You Can Ever Know by Nicole Chung.

When did you meet a cheetah?

This was at Chaminuka Lodge, a private game reserve in Lusaka, Zambia. People can walk the cheetahs, and afterwards the trainers unleash them and they’re free to hunt and play around the reserve.
