What is your role at CRCC, and what do you do?
My title is Senior Director of Educational Services; I lead our efforts to educate people and organizations (schools, colleges, and other nonprofits/businesses) to create communities free from sexual violence. We also work to support survivors through campus systems and train professionals to better serve survivors in their work.
When did you start at CRCC?
A LONG time ago—2006, part-time.
Which CRCC location(s) do you normally work from?
My office is at Halle, but you’ll see me buzzing in and out for community meetings all of the time.
What is your favorite thing to do in your role?
I love coaching staff people, being a resource for everyone, and I still love doing an occasional presentation!
What are you looking forward to during your role here at CRCC?
Working with a great team to point people to a hopeful future.
What do you do for self-care?
Play music, read, exercise, and make tasty food for my family.
What are you reading/listening to currently?
I’m listening to a ton of music, but have been exploring R.E.M.’s first albums, as is required by all men in their mid-30s.
I’m reading two great books: The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas and Decolonizing Wealth by Edgar Villanueva.
